Netscape and other social networks can expect even greater increase in popularity in the future, according to a new report Compete. The study measured the company, the so-called "attention" (the percentage of time that users spent a web site, compared with the overall performance of the Internet time), visitors to the network of social networks.
It turned out that the proportion of MySpace was 12.75% of the users as of June 2007, an increase of 20% compared to last month.
Also, the study says that the proportion of MySpace far exceeds the total of all other social networks together. Thus, the share of Facebook was 1.52% and 0.33%, Bebo.
Analysts point out that these figures reflect the growing potential of social networks for the online advertising market.
